About these terms

These terms govern your use of Just Journal, a voice journaling service operated by Just Journal Limited. By using Just Journal you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

Just Journal allows you to call a phone number, speak about your day, and receive a written journal entry by email. The service is intended for personal use by individuals aged 18 and over.

Just Journal is not a medical service, a mental health service, or a substitute for professional support of any kind. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact Samaritans on 116 123 or visit samaritans.org.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your password with anyone else. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, contact us immediately at hello@justjournal.io.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account, including a valid email address and phone number. We use your phone number to identify you when you call, and your email address to deliver your journal entries.

You may only have one account. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Just Journal to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm any person
• Transmit content that is illegal, offensive, or abusive
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written permission
• Interfere with the normal operation of the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms.

Your content

Your journal entries belong to you. Just Journal Limited does not claim ownership of the content you create through the service.

By using the service you grant Just Journal Limited a limited licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose, including training AI models.

You can request deletion of all your content at any time by emailing hello@justjournal.io.

Availability

We aim to keep Just Journal available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service downtime.

Limitation of liability

Just Journal Limited provides the service on an as-is basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. During the free beta period this means our liability is limited to zero.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Intellectual property

Just Journal, its name, logo, and the design of the service are owned by Just Journal Limited. You may not use them without our written permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

The latest version will always be available at justjournal.io/terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
